ElarScans in South America

Brazilian company "Scansystem Ltda", a traditional scanner distributor in Brazil, introduced a new Elarscan A2-400 to South American customers.

"We have already started demonstrations of the new ELAR product, and we see the interest of customers. There are tasks to digitize documents up to format A2 at commercial companies, at small museums and galleries, at municipal services and places where there will never be budget for the high end quality planetary scanners with matrix or linear CCD sensor, - says Ricardo Monteiro, managing partner of "Scansystem Ltda" (left at photo). – They need a product in a lower price category, but at the same time fast, convenient, professional, creating high-quality electronic copies. Based on our extensive experience, we expect the new ElarSCAN A2 with a powerful digital camera for image capture will quickly take its place in the South American market. Already this spring, Elarscan will be presented at a number of specialized and industry exhibitions.

The head office of "Scansystem Ltda" is located in Sao Paulo which is the largest Brazilian megapolis, the most populated city of the continent and the entire southern hemisphere. Since 1995 the company has been creating digital and micrographic archives, equipping digitization centers in libraries and universities, supplying scanners to state organizations and commercial enterprises around the country.
