ElarScan at Brazilian forum of university libraries

“Scansystem Ltda”, partner of ELAR Corp. (Russia) in Brazil, introduced the Elarscan book scanner at the conference “National Seminar for Universities Libraries (SNBU)” in Salvador — Bahia (Brazil).

Conference takes place every two years, it brings together a most important university libraries in the country. This year the event brought together over 1000 librarians from all Brazilian states.

“Russian ElarScan A2-400 was one main novelty at our exhibition booth. One of the main attractions of the scanner is its low cost due to the employed technology used for images capture and the possibility of scan the books on flat or V shape modes, — says Ricardo Monteiro, managing partner of ‘Scansystem Ltda’. — Our expectation is that ElarScan will help us serve a part of the market that needs to scan documents to the A2 format and has a limited budget”.

“Scansystem Ltda” is located in Sao Paulo, since 1995 the company has been creating digital and micrographic archives, equipping digitization centers in libraries and universities, supplying scanners to state organizations and commercial enterprises around the country. Since 2017 the company is a sales and service partner of ELAR in Brazil.
