ElarScan A2-600R Scanner: the key to preserving Serbia's historical heritage
A-B-C PRODUCTIONS EUROPE DOO is implementing modern equipment for the digitalization of historical documents in the Vojvodina Archive.
A-B-C PRODUCTIONS EUROPE DOO has completed the installation of the ElarScan A2-600R planetary scanner in the Vojvodina Archive, which has been preserving the cultural and historical heritage of the region since 1926. This event marks an important step in the process of digitizing archival materials, which will significantly improve access to historical documents and ensure their safety.
With the help of the new scanner, the archive plans to digitize old books on land ownership, photographs and other valuable documents that previously could not be digitized due to the lack of appropriate equipment. The ElarScan A2-600R offers high scanning quality due to its unique features, including the ability to work with documents in both flat and V-shaped modes. The transformable cradle of the scanner allows you to work with stitched originals, providing the ability to scan with both full and incomplete disclosure.
The scanner is equipped with replaceable pressure glasses, which ensure reliable alignment of the original pages, and a manual mechanism for raising and lowering the glass allows you to control the pressure force. This is especially important for working with time-damaged originals. The optical zoom makes it possible to quickly adjust to various formats up to A2+, which makes the ElarScan A2-600R a universal tool for digitizing archival collections.
Thus, the installation of the ElarScan A2-600R in the Vojvodina Archive opens up new horizons for digitization and preservation of cultural heritage, which is an important step in digitalizing historical materials and maintaining high standards, for which the archive has already received recognition in the Serbian arena.
